Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals-What Are They And Why You Should Care

Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals-What Are They And Should You Care

Endocrine disrupting chemicals are found in many different environmental sources such as the air, food, and water. These chemicals interfere with the endocrine system by affecting the way the body’s hormones work. These chemicals have been linked to fertility issues, immune system problems, some cancers, diabetes, obesity and heart problems, to name a few.

These chemicals also can cause Atherosclerosis, which can lead to numerous cardiovascular diseases including coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, blood clots, and strokes.

The author, Samuel Mckenzie, states “Avoidance of EDCs, where practical, is advised to minimize possible effects on health.” I would say to avoid these chemicals whenever you can, now just when practical!

I don’t know about you, but I didn’t know that being cold all the time had anything to do with my thyroid disease. Not one of the doctors that I saw said anything about this issue. They implied that in was all in my head. (That and many of the other symptoms I would mention). But did you know that there are other diseases that can leave you feeling chilled.
