Planning for a baby is exciting. However, when you are planning to conceive, you need to prioritize your health to ensure you have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. In this article by Dr. Deborah Hayden, she explains the need for a pre-pregnancy check-up. Mainly, this is to get any medical conditions under control. She also shares the importance of your diet, your weight, and exercise. Of course, she brings up not smoking.
One of the most important points I feel when planning for a baby is to get your hormones in balance. We all know how key your thyroid hormones are to the developing fetus and to the well-being of the mother.

If you are someone who is concerned about the harmful ingredients in our cosmetics, I have some good news for you. Sephora has just announced a new clean cosmetic line. They are going to offer 2,000 products across skincare, hair, fragrance, and makeup that are guaranteed to be formulated without ingredients such as Sulfates SLS and SLES, Parabens, Formaldehydes, Phthalates, Oxybenzone, Hydroquinone, Triclosan, Mineral Oils and more.
I am so excited to check their new products out. I have had two bad experiences with products I used on my face in the last month. First, I used a charcoal face mask that I had a reaction to (swollen eyes, scaly red skin) and then just as I was getting over that, I went to a baseball game where I used a sunscreen that I had another reaction to! Same thing: swollen eyes, red irritated skin! Ok, I will be the first to admit I was not very careful before using theses products. I have not had a bad reaction for a long time so I was careless! But, twice in a month! OMG!!!!

Have a great week!
Be careful with the sunscreen!
