Did Your Grandparents Have Thyroid Disease?

For most people, their grandparents didn’t have thyroid disease. The author makes some excellent points as to why thyroid disease is on the rise. And I agree with her. The arguments she makes for the decline of our thyroid health due to diet, stress and toxins, I believe are right on. But there is one thing, my maternal grandmother had a goiter. She had surgery to remove her thyroid when I was a child. She died about 20 years before I developed Grave’s disease, so there wasn’t any opportunity to talk to her about her treatment. I wish I had had the chance to hear about her experiences with the disease.
